Under the Children Act 1989, the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 and the ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023’ addendum, educators must meet specific professional standards, including holding relevant teaching qualifications.
Educred is a professional qualification that provides educators with the necessary credentials to teach, coach, or train students/staff legally and effectively.
To achieve your Educred Qualification, you must complete all the modules within 2 years of registration. See https://educred.org/educred-courses/.
Yes, all Educred graduates receive a globally recognised certificate upon successful completion of their course.
You have up to 24 months to complete all the modules from the date you have registered.
If you do not pass a module, you can simply rebook and retake it as many times as needed. However, all modules must be passed within the 24-month timeframe.
The refresher course provides you with important legal updates, so you can remain aware and compliant. Your refresher course will normally take place every 12 months after you receive your Educred certificate.
Failure to complete annual refresher course will lead to your registration being forfeited, and you will be flagged as non-compliant.
Yes, you can book and take the modules in any order that fits your schedule.
You should normally register with Educred before you start working in your educator or management role. Once registered, you are allowed to work for up to two years whilst you complete the Educred course.
Crediting your working hours ensures that you meet the practical experience requirements for your Educred qualification.
Only on-time work hours will be credited toward your accumulated working hours. Hours missed due to lateness will not count toward the Educred qualification.
Outside of the working hours needed to qualify (whereby your employer provides proof of your working hours), the Educred program is not related to your employment. If you leave your organisation while enrolled in the Educred qualification course, you may continue with your studies independently.
Dates to sit each module are listed at: https://educred.org/educred-courses/.
Educred offers flexible online learning modules that allow you to study at your own pace, minimising disruption to your work schedule and other commitments.
The Educred qualification applies in all countries around the world. They are designed to meet international educational standards, making them suitable for educators working in a wide range of regions and contexts.
Yes, once you have completed your Educred qualification, you can state ‘Educred’ as a qualification on your CV or job applications. Your new employer will normally contact us to confirm your Educred qualification is valid and up to date.
